Thank you for your interest in A New Language: A Study Guide on John Paul II’s Theology of the Body, a program sponsored by Imago Dei Inc., to evangelize the culture on the true meaning of sexuality and marriage!
A New Language is a four-part series consisting of 24 sessions designed to make the Holy Father’s teaching on the theology of the body more accessible and understandable to our contemporary culture.
The group study is led by a lay facilitator, who does not need to be theologically trained, although a commitment to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church is required.
Certification to train a group can be obtained four ways:
- Parish or Diocesan Group FFD - To form such lay facilitators, we provide a one-day training, called a Facilitator Formation Day (FFD). For a small fee, Imago Dei Inc. would send two trainers on an agreed upon date for a one day training session (typically 9:00 am – 3:00 pm) for registered participants. The parish or diocese would be required to provide the venue with facilities for a power point presentation and microphone. The diocese also provides beverages, including coffee, and a sandwich lunch. Imago Dei would send master copies of material for the attendees’ packets, which the diocese is responsible for preparing. The numbers attending are limited only by having space for groups of 8-12 to split off for the practice session, which is led by a volunteer drawn from each group.
- Washington DC Area FFD – Imago Dei hosts an annual FFD training session in the Washington DC area. The cost for individual attendance is $35 per person, $60 per couple, and $30 for Religious or students. Please see our events page for the next available session or contact us at email@example.com for more information.
- Online Training – Participants who wish to become certified may also complete our online training program and practicum session via skype. Please contact us for more information.
- Completion of our 24 session study guide, A New Language – Participants who have completed all 24 sessions of A New Language with a certified facilitator are eligible to start their own study group. Please contact Imago Dei to receive a facilitator’s certificate and mentor.
