Theology of the Body for Study Groups

Imago Dei Events

The National Theology of the Body Conference will be held July 28-30,2010, near Philadelphia, PA.  The title of the conference is Receiving and Proclaiming the Gift.  This annual event is a treasury of information about the Theology of the Body and several members of Imago Dei will be attending as presenters and panelists.  The program for the conference is here.  We understand the conference has been fully subscribed but we urge you to get on the mailing list to attend next year.

The Archdiocese of Washington will be introducing A New Language to its parishes as part of its "Marriage Matters" Program.  Presentations are being scheduled for the Summer of 2009 to familiarize pastors and others with the Theology of the Body and our study guide and to prepare them to form study groups. The dates, times, and locations of the presentations will be posted here when they are available.

Imago Dei will sponsor a Facilitator Formation Day open to all interested persons. Participants will receive an introduction to the Theology of the Body and be certified to conduct study groups using A New Language Study Guide. Facilitator Formation Day

National Retreat

A retreat for enrichment in the Theology of the Body will be held on the beautiful campus of Christendom College, on the banks of the Shenandoah River in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. A stimulating program to deepen understanding of the Theology of the Body and share evangelizing experiences will allow ample time for communal and private prayer and relaxation in the rural campus setting.

Facilitator Formation Day

A workshop to form and certify new facilitators for A New Language study groups will be held on Saturday, June 23, in McLean, VA, just outside Washington, DC. The workshop will begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 3:00 pm. Participants will be introduced to the basic themes of the Theology of the Body and how to form and run a study group. A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
